Jesse Basler loves frogs, the color yellow and is proud to say she is weird. Jesse was in each school’s talent show growing up until high school. She wasn`t supposed to be in her first talent show but joined her brother’s talent act anyway. Jesse was in Girl Scouts for thirteen years and sold cookies in all kinds of weather (tornados, blizzards, ALL kinds). She has two miniature basset hound dogs and an African Grey bird, who thinks she is a dog, and enjoys playing practical jokes and participating in dance parties.

Jesse engages in D&D adventures, and is an avid dice collector. She enjoys playing board games with her family and friends. She is a geek girl that loves Comic Con, being a Cosplayer, and other activities along that line. She likes writing fiction (Fantasy and Sci-Fi mostly) for children and adults. She is a total Night Owl.

Jesse graduated from St. Charles Community College in 2017. Her first published story was called “Dust Bunny” (published in St. Charles Community College magazine, Mid River’s Review in 2017). Jesse expects to have earned her Human Resource BA Degree with writing minor in December 2021 from Lindenwood University. She additionally published "My Sister`s Button," a story in Arrow Rock Literary Journal, in 2021. She has been a part of helping produce two different college level magazines at both colleges.

 

Jesse`s first published book, at age 22, was “My Slippery Escape” on Amazon in 2018. She published her second book in 2020, "The Adventurous Book Worms" also on Amazon. Jesse will be publishing her third book, "JackieJo The Daring Dreamer" in 2021.
